Desktop synchronization
Desktop synchronization for Blackberrys, iPhones and Palm mobile devices is possible through an additional product called CompanionLink. This product lets you synchronize either personal or public folders with the native Blackberry or Palm calendar, contacts, notes and task applications.

Over-the-air Synchronization
Softalk Share Server can provide "over-the-air" access to the email in your Outlook mail folders from your BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone or other mobile device. It does this using the IMAP protocol. This means that whenever a message arrives in Outlook, it will be immediately available for synchronization to your mobile device. In the case of a BlackBerry device, you must enter the details of the Softalk Share Server account into your Business Internet Service (BIS).

Configuring IMAP for a PocketPC

1. Open the Messaging program and select Tools | New Account... from the menu.
2. From the your e-mail provider drop down, select Other (POP3/IMAP) and press Next.
3. Enter your email address into the field on the next page and press Next.
4. In the next page, the Pocket PC will try to auto configure the account. Skip this step by pressing Next.
5. Enter your name and the Softalk Share Server username and password of the user whose email you wish to access into the fields on the next page. Tick the Save password tick box and press Next
6. In the next page, select IMAP4 from the Account type dropdown and optionally give this account a name.
7. In the final page enter, into both the Incoming mail and Outgoing mail fields, the IP address or name of the computer which runs Softalk Share Server. Press Finish to complete the account creation
