Role: 3rd Level Support Engineer
We are looking for a 3rd level support engineer to work in our support team. The role will start out in 2nd level support and progress to 3rd level support, depending on the ability of the candidate. There is also the opportunity to move into the development team if the candidate wishes and is able to do this.

At Softalk, we are looking for high quality candidates who can bring additional value to our company. For this reason, we require candidates to have a relevant degree with a 2:1 or higher.

Skills:
  • Our software runs primarily on Windows platforms so the candidate must be strong with all versions of Windows, including networking, Active Directory, Microsoft Office etc.
  • The candidate must have good problem solving skills.
  • Debugging skills in Microsoft Visual Studio, using Visual C++ with MFC are also essential.
  • Experience in the following technologies is a real advantage:
    • Multi-threading
    • Sockets
    • Database design/development (Jet and SQL)
    • MFC
    • Unicode
Salary: £23,000 + bonuses
